Fernando Ysita was born in Mexico City in the Federal District, where he was born on 16 November 1944.
He studied at the National University of Mexico, where he obtained a degree in law.
He is currently a member of the Boards of Directors and/or a Secretary of the Board of Directors of Abengoa Mexico, and its subsidiaries; ASECAM, and subsidiary firms; Constructora y Perforadora Latina, and its subsidiary branches; Vialcoma and subsidiaries.
During his professional career, he has been a member and secretary of the Board of Directors of Grupo Financiero BITAL, currently Grupo Financiero HSBC and its subsidiaries from 1979 to April 2011; and a member and Secretary of the Boards of Directors of Mexichem and its subsidiaries from 1994 to 2006 and Director General of Compañía Minera Mexicana de Avino. (1987-1992); Under-Secretary of Economic Development of the State of Durango (1992-1993); Director of the Guarantee Fund for Supporting Microfirms (FINED) (1992-1993); and President of the Board of Science and Advanced Research. (Board of Trustees of the Universidad Iberoamericana in the city of Durango); President of the Board of Directors of Chapultepec Golf Club. (1998-2000); and President of the Mexican Golf Federation. (2008-2011).
Fernando Ysita holds a certificate of Notarial Candidate in the Federal District and is a member of various private organizations, including the Mexican Bar of the College of Lawyers and the Chapultepec Golf Club.
